LICENSED MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELOR

Mental health counseling is what people typically think of when they hear the word counseling, but counselors’ actual job duties may go well beyond what people imagine. Clinical counselors do indeed talk people through problems. In many cases, though, they diagnose as well as treat mental illness.

EMDR THERAPIST

EMDR is a highly specific research-validated form of therapy that can help people overcome traumatic stress, anxiety and depression. With EMDR, a trained practitioner uses bilateral stimulation, eye movement and touch to stimulate parts of the brain as a client recounts certain experiences and memories as a way to more thoroughly process uncomfortable and painful feelings.

CERTIFIED ADDICTION PROFESSIONAL

The CAP designation is a professional substance abuse credential for individuals who assess, develop and provide substance abuse treatment services and plans for people who are suffering from chemical and substance addiction including but not limited to alcohol, cannabis, hallucinogens, opioids, sedatives, stimulants and inhalants related disorders.

QUALIFIED SUPERVISOR FOR MENTAL HEALTH INTERNS

Supervision is contact between an intern and a supervisor during which the intern apprises the supervisor of the diagnosis and treatment of each client, client cases are discussed, the supervisor provides the intern with oversight and guidance in diagnosing, treating and dealing with clients, and the supervisor evaluates the interns’ performance.

HOW I CAN HELP YOU?

I provide therapy for individuals, couples, families and groups. Learn to Love YOU!! Understand how to get along with the love of your life and other individuals who God has placed in your life. Through genuine acceptance, an empathetic approach and unconditional positive regard, I will help you be empowered and motivated in the therapeutic process. Most people are able to self-actualize when they feel a sense of belonging, which then allows for healing and the ability to tap into your own inner strength.

SERIOUSLY SPEAKING!

I hope you are convinced enough that I am the right Therapist for you. I have cared for older adults, younger adults, teenagers, as well as the younger children. I have been able to channel my God-given talents in a professional and clinical way. I have successfully treated men, women and children. My patients and clients constantly report that I have been the only Therapist to get them to talk; to reveal and disclose many hurtful and painful life experiences they have held on to for many years.
