Fulfilling your passion then turning lives around.
Bridging the gap between internship and licensure.

Welcome Mental Health Counselor Intern

I am a board approved Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in the State of Florida. I look forward to working with you and am excited to guide you on this journey to turning lives around!

I offer in-person supervision in Jupiter, North Palm Beach, and Palm Beach Gardens. Surrounding areas such as West Palm Beach, Stuart, Hobe Sound, Tequesta, Jensen Beach and Port St. Lucie will also benefit from the option of face to face supervision as well as my ability to offer Tele-supervision. With my credentials as a trained TeleHealth Clinician, I am also available to provide Tele-supervision to anyone in the State of Florida.

My clinical experience encompasses working with young children as early as 4 years old, adolescents, young adults, older adults within the capacity of individuals, couples, groups and families therapy. My clinical experience covers non-profits and profits agencies, psychiatric hospital, substance abuse clinics for males and females as well as private practice. My primary model of supervision is theoretically grounded models which include cognitive-behavioral, systems, person-centered and solution-based models. I will also apply developmental models which will allow the Supervisor to identify supervisee’s current stages of competency as the supervisee moves through a series of stages in emotion and experience. I will track your progress and guide you through each state.

My goal as your supervisor is to make your supervision a productive and fulfilling experience as you navigate through understanding the clinical process and working effectively with your clients and patients ethically, competently and confidently.

Areas of interest include mood disorders, anxiety disorders, PTSD, grief/loss, couples counseling, behavioral issues, anger management, codependency issues and substance abuse disorders.

Supervision Requirements

Interns need 1500 client face to face hours requiring  100 hours of supervision hours over a minimum of 100 weeks. The state requires 1 hr/supervision for (full-time) registered interns doing 15 hours of face-to-face psychotherapy with clients each week, or 1 hr/supervision biweekly for (part-time) less than 15 hours of face to face psychotherapy with clients each week. Generally, it takes 2-4 years to finish supervision. Supervision cannot be completed in less than 100 weeks, regardless of how many clients you work with weekly.   Please see 491 Board Rules and Florida Board of Clinical Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling website here for requirements.
